5 Years of TreeSense
A lot has happened since TreeSense was founded on August 31, 2021! Here’s a little “trip down memory lane.”

It all started with the Pulse S—a sensor that measures electrical resistance in xylem, transmits its data via LoRaWAN, and recharges via a solar panel. After three years of development, it was launched in 2021. Supply issues with a component spurred innovation and led to the Pulse RL, featuring an external measuring head and a battery-powered LoRaWAN transmitter module. In 2023, FDR sensors for measuring water content and dendrometers for measuring branch diameter were added to the product portfolio. That same year, we offered sensors with Narrowband-IoT technology (in addition to LoRaWAN) for the first time. In 2024, the Pulse RN—the NB-IoT version of the Pulse—and the Watermark sensor—another soil sensor—were added to the lineup. Today, our portfolio includes over 15 sensor models with various transmission types and configurations.
